A leading, internationally accredited hospital group in Dubai, UAE is expanding its neonatal and perinatal services and is seeking a highly skilled Consultant / Specialist Neonatologist to join its advanced NICU team. The role focuses on delivering specialised neonatal care within a modern, technology-driven healthcare environment serving a diverse international patient population. This opportunity is designed for board-certified neonatologists seeking career advancement, exposure to high-acuity neonatal cases, and the ability to practice within a JCI-accredited, tertiary care setting. Role Overview • Position: Consultant / Specialist Neonatologist • Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates • Hospital Type: Private / Government / Multispecialty / Tertiary Care (JCI-accredited) • Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification • Clinical Setting: Level III / IV NICU with advanced neonatal life support and multidisciplinary care The successful candidate will work within a collaborative neonatal and perinatal care team supported by experienced pediatricians, obstetricians, and critical care specialists. Qualifications & Board Recognition Applications are welcome from internationally trained neonatologists holding recognised specialist qualifications such as: • American Board of Pediatrics (Neonatology Subspecialization) • UK CCT / MRCPCH / FRCPCH • European Board Certification • Royal College Certification (Canada) • Australian Fellowship • Arab Board • FCPS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification We welcome applications from specialists across USA, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, India, Middle East, Africa, and South America. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DHA / DOH / MOH license conversion (full guidance and support provided). Key Responsibilities – Neonatology • Provide comprehensive neonatal care for premature and critically ill newborns within the NICU setting. • Manage high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation, ensuring immediate stabilisation and advanced life support. • Diagnose and treat neonatal conditions, including respiratory distress, sepsis, congenital disorders, and metabolic abnormalities. • Perform and supervise neonatal procedures, including intubation, central line placement, ventilation management, and invasive monitoring. • Develop and implement individualised neonatal care plans, ensuring optimal outcomes and family-centred care. • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and multidisciplinary teams for integrated maternal and neonatal care. • Provide parent counselling and education regarding neonatal conditions, treatment plans, and long-term outcomes. • Participate in clinical governance, NICU quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs. • Maintain accurate and compliant electronic medical records and clinical documentation. • Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, neonatal care standards, and hospital protocols.
