Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Consultant Neonatologist to join our multidisciplinary medical team in Sharjah. The successful candidate will provide expert care for critically ill and premature newborns, manage neonatal intensive care, and work collaboratively with pediatricians, obstetricians, and other specialists to deliver world-class healthcare.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • MBBS/MD or equivalent degree in Pediatrics from a recognized institution.
  • Fellowship/DM or equivalent qualification in Neonatology.
  • Valid MOH/DHA/DOH license (or eligibility to obtain one in UAE).
  • Minimum of 8–10 years post-qualification experience, with at least 3–5 years at a consultant level in Neonatology.
  • Proven expertise in advanced neonatal intensive care and emergency management.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Compassionate approach with a focus on patient- and family-centered care.
Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized care for newborns, including premature infants and those with complex medical conditions.
  • Lead the management of neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) patients, ensuring evidence-based practices.
  • Perform advanced neonatal procedures such as intubation, ventilation management, line insertions, and resuscitation.
  • Collaborate closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, and multidisciplinary teams for integrated care.
  • Counsel and support families regarding the medical condition, treatment, and prognosis of their infants.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality assurance, and research initiatives.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, MOH regulations, and international neonatal care standards.
