Description Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Consultant Nurse (LPN preferred) to provide clinical oversight and compliance support within our assisted living community. This is a part-time, non-supervisory role (approximately 8 hours per week) focused on ensuring quality care, regulatory compliance, and proper clinical processes — not a direct care or full-time position. Schedule Approximately 8 hours per week Weekday daytime availability REQUIRED Flexible scheduling within business hours No evenings or weekend shifts Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have direct supervisory authority Provides clinical oversight and guidance to Med Techs and care staff Collaborates with community leadership (Executive Director, Wellness Director) to ensure clinical standards are met Offers coaching and recommendations, but does not manage hiring, discipline, or scheduling Duties and Responsibilities Conduct resident assessments and clinical reviews to ensure appropriate level of care Perform medication audits and monitor proper administration practices Provide clinical oversight and support to Med Techs (non-supervisory) Monitor and evaluate changes in resident condition and ensure timely follow-up Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, hospice, and external providers Review and support care plans, documentation, and regulatory compliance Assist with state survey readiness and audit preparation Identify clinical concerns and implement corrective action plans Track and follow up on clinical issues through resolution Provide on-site weekly clinical review and updates to leadership Requirements Qualifications Active LPN license required (RN considered for temporary or backup coverage) Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or similar setting Experience with clinical audits, assessments, and regulatory compliance strongly preferred Strong knowledge of state regulations for assisted living Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent organizational, follow-up, and communication skills Education and Experience Professional nurse with a current state license Experience in a clinical oversight, compliance, or audit-focused role preferred Prior experience in assisted living or long-term care required Physical Requirements Ability to move throughout the community for assessments and audits Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to use a computer and electronic health systems Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, if needed Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions Important Note This is a specialized, part-time consulting role focused on clinical oversight and compliance.
