Please see below for detailed job description of the role.
We are seeking a substantive consultant radiologist with specialist training in oncological imaging to join our subspecialty radiology team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time position (10 PAs) under the new consultant contract, with part-time working available if required.
You will become part of a team of six consultant radiologists, providing diagnostic imaging and procedural work for the Oncology Radiology Department. Training and education are core activities within the group. This post also includes On Call duties as part of the Abdominal Radiology rota.
Over the past five years, the care group has undergone significant modernization through the managed equipment service, bringing new equipment and facilities. Radiology enjoys a high profile within the Trust and across the region.
The hospital is a major teaching centre and home to the Wessex Radiology Training Scheme. Most regional specialist units are located within our Trust.
We are one of England’s largest acute teaching hospitals and were recently rated ‘Good’ by the CQC.
