Doctors Direct have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant to work with us at one of the trusts at Harlow, Essex in Ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:

  • This full-time post is for an Ophthalmic surgeon.
  • The successful candidate will join our existing team of 5 substantive.
  • The appointee will be expected to offer expertise in the management of Glaucoma and general ophthalmic service and cataract surgery.
  • The appointee should have a special interest in Glaucoma.
  • The appointee will be expected to work as a team with Orthoptists and Optometrists, contribute to junior doctor training, participate in audit and research programmes and take an active interest in the management of the speciality.
  • The appointee will work closely with the other Glaucoma consultants and develop efficiencies for the Glaucoma service. Glaucoma has the highest backlog number of patients waiting for their follow up appointment.
  • The appointee will be expected to work as a team with Orthoptists and Optometrists, contribute to junior doctor training and participate in audit and governance programmes.

DETAILS ABOUT THE ROLES:

  • Speciality: Ophthalmology
  • Location: Harlow, Essex
  • Days per week: Monday – Friday, Day clinic 40 hours per week
  • Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts
  • Payment method: PAYE we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies
