Doctors Direct have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant to work with us at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust in Ophthalmology.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:

• Perform advanced surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, retinal surgery, or other subspecialty-specific surgeries.
• Provide outpatient consultations, including diagnostics, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Lead operating lists for elective and emergency ophthalmic surgeries.
• Provide expertise in laser treatments, intravitreal injections, and other ophthalmic procedures.
• Participate in the on-call rota for ophthalmology, managing acute cases such as ocular trauma, retinal detachment, or severe infections.

• Days per week: Adhoc shifts
• Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts
• Rate of pay: £125 -£175
• Payment method: PAYE we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies
