The successful applicant will take an important role in providing transition care for CYP and for those with Type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome. She/he will be responsible with his/her colleagues for seeing the patients newly diagnosed with diabetes and helping the children/adolescents and their families with education and support both in clinic and outside clinic. The successful applicant will also assist with her/his colleagues in providing any necessary advice to the children’s wards when children/adolescents already known to have diabetes are admitted for diabetes related or other non-diabetes related reasons.
