ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Key Responsibilities Analyze national development plans, IFIs projects pipeline and design an actionable strategy to determine how WFP could support the Government with furthering its priorities; Develop tailored value propositions to communicate adequately and effectively with Government counterparts and IFIs at national level; Engage with Staff in the Offices of IFIs to raise the profile of WFP and provide timely advise of opportunities arising at different levels; Support the Office in advancing ongoing discussions on the working arrangements with African Development Bank, World Bank, IMF and the Government of South Sudan with a focus on promoting WFP’s role in school feeding, resilience and climate. Provide direct technical support to the Country Office, to build the capacity to engage in strategic dialogue with Ministries of Finance, Agriculture, Education, Roads and Bridges and Environment. Undertake any other duties as requested, in line with the Terms of Reference and purposes of strategic partnerships. DELIVERABLES: An actionable strategy for engaging with relevant government ministries in South Sudan. At least 2 (e.g. school feeding and climate) tailored value propositions to communicate with Government counterparts and IFIs at national level are developed based on the engagement strategy. Regular meetings with staff in the Offices of IFIs are facilitated to raise the profile of WFP. Technical support to the Country Office to engage in strategic dialogue with Ministries, National Entities and IFIs is provided through capacity building trainings. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Education: Graduate or advanced university degree and training/courses in one or more of the following disciplines: International Relations, International Development, Political or Social Sciences, Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration or other relevant field. Experience: Experience working in Government institutions, working closely with national authorities, and/or developing relationships and managing strategic partnerships with governments and development partners Knowledge & Skills: Excellent networking and writing skills. Languages: Fluency in English. Knowledge of one other UN working language an advantage. Responsibilities
