SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience in payroll compliance, payroll accounting, and complex reconciliation and remediation activities at a Payroll Manager level of experience
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, with demonstrated involvement in structured compliance or audit projects.
  • Proven capability in applying systems thinking to identify inefficiencies and implement effective process improvements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data manipulation, analysis, and scenario modelling to validate and reconcile records.
  • Practical experience with HRIS platforms and rostering systems for maintaining accurate employee data and supporting workforce operations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret business rules and enterprise agreement components to identify and reconcile discrepancies in employee pay data, including detailed reconciliation of business, payroll, and audit records.
  • Support compliance by identifying process gaps, proposing corrective actions, and contributing to updates of procedures, processes, and policies, including development of related materials and business cases for potential system investments.
  • Engage with current and former employees through multiple communication channels to support payment activities, while collaborating with Payroll and PCS Systems teams and staying informed on relevant regulatory updates.
  • Provide proactive, customer-focused HR advice and support across the employment lifecycle, ensuring alignment with employment conditions, policies, procedures, and legislation, while building strong relationships across the business and with external providers.
