Description

We have an excellent full time opportunity to work as a Consultant Psychiatrist on Evergreen unit at Priory Cheadle Royal Hospital.
Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Cheadle, Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults. The focus of our service is to help people to live their best life in a safe and supportive environment.
Evergreen is a 15 bed acute mental health unit for adult male and female patients offering a 24-hour admission service to support local NHS services and PICU wards. The ethos of the acute ward is to provide support in a crisis and offer therapeutic engagement during the in-patient stay. Evergreen ward is situated within the grounds of Cheadle Royal Hospital supporting patients who present with mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, personality disorder, depression, bipolar disorder and other diagnoses. For some patients, Evergreen ward will be their first admission to a mental health ward and the MDT will support them to overcome crisis and become well enough to be discharged into the community, whether this be home or to support living. The MDT consists of a Responsible Clinician (RC), Specialty Doctor, Ward Manager, Occupational Therapist, the Nursing Team and Psychology team and the goal of the MDT is to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of patients who come to Evergreen ward.
This is a full time position providing psychiatric care to inpatients on Evergreen, alongside providing the clinical leadership on the unit to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
