Job Summary We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who is fluent in Arabic to join a leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with a broad range of mental health disorders while ensuring compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support mental wellness across inpatient and outpatient settings. Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and manage psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide pharmacological treatment, psychotherapy, counseling, and behavioral interventions where appropriate. Manage both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric cases. Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care when required. Collaborate with psychologists, neurologists, primary care physicians, social workers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive mental healthcare. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with Saudi healthcare regulations and hospital policies. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and continuing medical education programs. Ensure patient confidentiality, ethical standards, and adherence to mental health best practices. Qualifications & Requirements MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by SCFHS (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties). Board Certification / Fellowship in Psychiatry. Valid SCFHS Consultant Registration/License or eligibility. Minimum 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in Psychiatry within a reputed hospital or mental health center. Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory. Strong expertise in adult psychiatry and mental health management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills. Preferred Skills Experience in community psychiatry and multidisciplinary mental health programs. Exposure to psychotherapy and behavioral therapy approaches. Academic and research experience is an advantage. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment.
