This Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist post is within the highly regarded CARE Accredited and nationally achieving, Surrey-wide Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Service. This is a highly attractive post and you will be joining our thriving, happy and well established multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant would need to base themselves at Aldershot Centre for Health approximately once a week and at our main base in Epsom the rest of the time. You will be required to be aware of the Access and Waiting Times Agenda for community Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Services across England and the intended New Care Models Agenda for Surrey, Sussex and Kent that will focus on the shortening of specialist tier 4 admissions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to enhance the established acute focus of the service and someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a wide variety of clinicians who are very proud of the work that they do. Part of the role will include liaison with the 5 acute hospitals who may at times be caring for medically unstable young people
Part of the role is to provide a diagnostic, assessment and treatment service for children and adolescents with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, ARFID and Binge Eating Disorder. The successful candidate will also provide input, where needed, to the Enhanced Pathway, which aims to reduce hospital admissions by providing additional support to patients at home

Salary: NHS Consultant Grade £105,504 - £139,882 + £149 fringe
