Are you a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist ready to lead in a progressive, patient-focused environment? We’re seeking a passionate and clinically skilled professional to join a respected independent mental health hospital specialising in adult in-patient psychiatric services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• GMC Registration
• Section 12(2) Approved
• Approved Clinician Status
• MRCPsych and active CPD record

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in in-patient psychiatry
• Familiarity with Psychiatric Intensive Care and/or Acute Services
• Proven leadership and decision-making capability

SKILLS:

• Strong working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to evidence-based clinical practice

• Provide clinical leadership to a multi-disciplinary team across Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) and Acute Wards.
• Manage a defined patient caseload, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care.
• Collaborate with senior management to deliver integrated, high-quality services.
• Mentor junior doctors and contribute to clinical supervision, appraisal, and revalidation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and continuing professional development.
