Consultant Radiologist Location: Rashid Minhas Road, Karachi Position Type: Non-Full Time Clinical Radiologist Department: Radiology Reporting to: Section Head, Radiology & Vice Chair Clinical Services, Department of Radiology Position Summary: This center is part of the Aga Khan University Hospital system and is seeking a Non-Full time Consultant Radiologist to join its Radiology team. The consultant will be responsible for providing high-quality radiological services including general radiology and ultrasound reporting, supervising junior radiology staff, and ensuring efficient delivery of diagnostic services. The role also includes collaborative responsibilities with the main campus on a scheduled and need basis. Qualifications: Essential: Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (FCPS) in Diagnostic Radiology. Minimum 2 years post-FCPS clinical experience in diagnostic radiology. Preferred: Additional subspecialty fellowship training after FCPS. Experience in supervising radiology trainees or junior staff. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Services at Rashid Minhas Road Center Independently perform and sign off general radiology and ultrasound examinations. Ensure quality assurance of all radiologic interpretations. Review and supervise radiology reports. Supervision & Training: Provide direct oversight, guidance, and feedback to radiology staff. Ensure adherence to departmental protocols and reporting standards. Contribute to a learning environment conducive to training of instructors or residents rotating at Rashid Minhas Road (if applicable) Main Campus Integration (If required) Rotate/Attend the main campus if required. Other AKUH Centers in Karachi (If required) Rotate/Attend the main campus if needed. Provide Cross-Coverage on a need basis for: Weekend duties Emergency reporting needs, as directed by the Rota Coordination Team. General Expectations: Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with institutional and international standards Adhere to JCIA and AKU quality and patient safety protocols Be a team player in promoting a collaborative, high-standard radiology service across IMS and AKU. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
