DESCRIPTION

The Consultant will perform work as assigned/ defined by the customer contract. He/she has expertise in at least one area of SAP and possesses knowledge in SAP implementation methodology with deployment experience on a customer engagement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • General degree or equivalent/recognized professional qualifications.
  • At least 5 years prior work experience in a SAP consulting or support capacity.
  • A minimum of 2 complete project life cycles in a SAP consulting capacity/experience in every phase of a customer engagement on multiple projects.
  • Experiences in leading small teams in a project or support engagement.
  • Exposure to the Fashion and Lifestyle Industry in a working capacity for at least 2 years.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAS)

  • Proficiency in core module of SAP.
  • General understanding of complementary modules of SAP.
  • Formal training/certification in core module of SAP is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills - Verbal & written communication.
  • Ability to work in teams - interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Be results oriented, enthusiastic and possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership capabilities, conceptual thinking, and innovative mindset.
  • Ability and willingness to take on new initiatives/technologies.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Engage with the customer by:
  • Analysing the customer’s business processes and SAP solution design.
  • Preparing, contributing towards and running process design workshops, taking direction and configuring/developing SAP solutions, demonstrating and gaining acceptance from the customer.
  • Performing configuration/development and assisting customers in testing cycles.
  • Leading conversation with the customer.
  • Building trust and credibility by consistently delivering assigned tasks on time with high quality.
  • Working in a team to:
  • Prepare Business Process Procedures, Test Scenarios, Configuration/Development Documentation, End-User documentation and User manuals.
  • Prepare specifications as required.
  • Act as an active member of the project team by proactively identifying risks and opportunities and reporting the project progress on an ongoing basis.
  • Transfer SAP knowledge to customers and build relationships & credibility.
  • Taking ownership of assigned tasks by initiating, think through and developing a plan that is executed and delivered according to the established timelines.
  • Provide leadership by:
  • Where required, leading small/less complex projects (3-6 months).
  • Helping train and groom junior resources.
  • Continually develop SAP core skills and business knowledge based on accumulated experience. Use implementation methodology and tools in the project and acquire additional skills in cross-functional areas and enabling technologies.
  • Execute assigned project tasks in areas of demonstrated competence with some direction from a Senior Consultant. This includes facilitating meetings/task groups, tracking and influencing task group progress, tracking project deliverables, etc.
  • Set priorities appropriately. Consistently ensure that work outputs are timely and of the highest quality.
  • Perform any additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when required by the management.
