We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant/Specialist Gastrointestinal Surgeon to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide expert surgical care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders, utilizing both innovative and established surgical techniques. This role demands a commitment to excellence, patient-centered care, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary environment. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop comprehensive treatment plans for gastrointestinal surgical patients. Execute complex gastrointestinal surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures, with precision and adherence to best practices. Manage perioperative care to optimize patient outcomes and minimize complications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including gastroenterologists, oncologists, and radiologists to ensure holistic patient care. Provide patient education regarding disease processes, surgical procedures, and post-operative care. Contribute to clinical research and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution. Completion of surgical residency and specialized fellowship training in gastrointestinal surgery. Valid medical license to practice surgery in the relevant jurisdiction. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in gastrointestinal surgical practice. Proficient in advanced and minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgical techniques. Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with advancements in gastrointestinal surgery. Fluency in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
