In this role, you will provide specialized care for newborns, particularly focusing on those who are critically ill or born prematurely. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of neonatal care, while also offering support and guidance to families navigating challenging circumstances. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional medical care and assessment for newborns in need of specialized treatment. Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including physical examinations and interpretation of laboratory results. Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Provide education and emotional support to families regarding medical conditions, treatment options, and care processes. Participate in case discussions and team meetings to share insights and enhance collaborative practices. Maintain current knowledge of advancements in neonatology and engage in ongoing professional development. Medical degree with valid licensure as a Consultant/Specialist Neonatologist. Substantial experience in diagnosing and managing health issues in newborn infants, particularly in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). Extensive knowledge of neonatology principles and treatment methodologies. Exceptional communication skills to work effectively with families and healthcare colleagues. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload under pressure. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to address complex clinical scenarios. Preferred certification or fellowship training in Neonatology. Experience in a high-acuity neonatal care setting is an advantage. Familiarity with advanced neonatal resuscitation techniques is desirable. Ability to lead and collaborate within interdisciplinary teams.
