Job Purpose: The Survey Executive is crucial in executing precise surveying tasks using both terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) and drone technology. Their primary objectives include collecting accurate spatial data, conducting detailed topographic and aerial surveys, and assisting in the analysis of geological features within the coal mine. By employing advanced surveying techniques, the Survey Executive contributes to the generation of comprehensive data sets essential for mine planning, infrastructure design, and environmental monitoring, ensuring all activities comply with safety and regulatory standards. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Survey Executive - Mining Survey Execution: Operate and maintain latest technology to capture high-resolution point cloud data of mining sites, infrastructure, and geological formations. Conduct systematic surveys following predefined scanning protocols, ensuring comprehensive coverage and data integrity across the survey area. Perform calibration checks and quality control procedures on equipment to ensure accurate and reliable data acquisition in various environmental conditions. Survey Support and Coordination: Work closely with the Survey Lead and other surveying personnel to coordinate field survey activities, prioritize scanning locations, and optimize survey workflows for efficiency. Provide technical support and guidance to survey assistants and field crews during data acquisition, ensuring adherence to surveying standards and safety protocols. Collaborate with engineering and geological teams to integrate survey data into CAD/BIM software platforms for the development of accurate mine designs and construction plans. Quality Assurance and Documentation: Conduct quality assurance checks on survey data to verify data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, identifying and rectifying any data anomalies or artifacts. Document survey procedures, equipment settings, and data processing methodologies in accordance with established protocols and industry best practices. Prepare comprehensive survey reports, including detailed descriptions of survey methodologies, data analysis results, and recommendations for further action or investigation. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Adhere to safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while performing surveys, ensuring the safe operation of equipment and the mitigation of potential hazards. Participate in safety training programs and toolbox talks to enhance awareness of occupational hazards and emergency response procedures in mining environments. Collaborate with the Survey Lead and safety officers to assess site-specific risks, implement control measures, and promote a culture of safety among surveying personnel.
