Global Operations Outbound is our specialty practice that manages our Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) outsourcing engagements, which amongst others, can include tax compliance, statutory reporting, tax accounting, bookkeeping and payrolling services. Global Operations Outbound provides end-to-end global compliance management across multiple countries and workstreams. We coordinate, communicate and escalate compliance issues on behalf of the client, prepare contracting and manage costs of compliance. Global Operations Outbound coordinates, tracks, aligns and harmonizes the different compliance streams. Working together with the client and different EY specialist teams, we identify process improvements and technology solutions to make the compliance processes more efficient and provide more insight into the client’s global tax position.

We manage the client global compliance footprint, so they don’t have to. We keep them informed, aware and compliant and we coordinate the service delivery of all work streams. We put the client in control of their compliance with an efficient global delivery model. Services can include:

• Setting up a global governance and communication model with the client;
• Setting up supporting technology solutions, such as workflow tools and reporting dashboards;
• Monitoring service delivery for each country and service;
• Resolving any issues with respect to communication, compliance processes and technology;
• Managing scope and fee changes;
• Monitor and flag legislative changes;
• Reporting compliance risks and opportunities;
• Managing transition and transformation projects.

The Global Operations Outbound is based in the Netherlands (primarily Amsterdam office, alternated with working remotely) and is supported by a dedicated team in EY’s Global Delivery Services centre based in India. The main languages of the team are Netherlands and English.

Deliver exceptional client service and stay connected with your client contacts who are involved in compliance and/or reporting processes;

• Liaise with the global EY colleagues involved in the client compliance and/or reporting processes;
• Actively work with teams within EY that specialize in (amongst others) Statutory Reporting, International Tax, Transfer Pricing, Indirect Taxes and/or Payroll;
• Building an extensive internal and external network;
• Answer questions from the different contacts/countries of the client;
• Coordinating the compliance processes, monitoring the deadlines and identifying bottlenecks;
• Assisting with the transition of compliance work to EY when we win new assignments – developing and following detailed transition plans, working with client teams to facilitate and monitor smooth handovers;
• Preparing client update meetings and reports for client meetings/calls;
• Identifying and supporting options to optimize end-to-end compliance processes;
• Understanding of and working with our technology suite.
