Responsibilities

Conduct bibliographic and policy reviews to support PTI’s strategic positioning and analytical work on the MERCOSUR–EU Agreement.

  • Coordinate the preparation, quality control, and supervision of studies addressing legal, institutional, economic, and sectoral aspects of the agreement and its implementation.
  • Participate in missions to MERCOSUR countries to identify needs, conduct consultations, present findings, support reforms, and promote high-level political dialogue.
  • Design and contribute to the execution of technical cooperation operations and policy-based loans to support member countries in aligning with the agreement and boosting competitiveness.
  • Coordinate the mobilization of external resources — particularly from the European Union and other international donors — to support technical assistance and investment activities.
  • Prepare briefings, technical presentations, and outreach materials for diverse audiences, including government authorities, private sector actors, civil society, and EU counterparts.
  • Provide cross-cutting support to PTI’s work on the MERCOSUR–EU agenda, ensuring coordination across IDB divisions and with external stakeholders.
