  • Qualified urological surgeon on the Specialist Register of the GMC (FRCS or equivalent)
  • Able to conduct a clinical audit
  • Broad general experience of urology with a demonstrable expertise in endoscopic techniques

  • Self-awareness and the ability to develop others
  • Ability to teach clinical and practical skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with patients and staff, both orally and in writing.

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Multi-discipline medical team on a Full-time or Part-time substantive basis. You will be a highly valued member of our team bringing your expertise and skills in Urology.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patient’s treatment is of the highest standard whether NHS or privately funded. You will be performing Urological surgical procedures on patients referred to the Hospital, working in accordance with hospital protocols and working practices.
From your extensive experience you will able to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of Urological problems.
As UK registered medical professional, with a listing on the Specialist GMC register, we will support you with your ongoing CPD and career development.
You will provide an onsite urology service to meet the needs of patients. Whilst the working week will comprise an agreed number of sessions based on the total number of contracted hours, working patterns will be flexible and may entail an ad-hoc mix of late evenings and weekend work to meet the requirements of the unit. There is no on-call commitment but post holders must be prepared to assess patients urgently in person on the unit as requested by the Resident Doctor (RD) on duty during routine working hours. Post holders will be expected to provide cross-cover for colleagues during periods of absence, including for example annual leave and study leave whenever possible.
