JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The DT&I Consulting Clinical Analyst is a licensed registered nurse who serves as a subject matter expert and possesses a strong understanding of current state clinical practice standards, medical necessity, payer and governmental clinical guidelines and requirements, physician documentation requirements, and systems, as well as clinical workflows across a variety of acute care environments. Further, this role is able to engage in the identification of key clinical data elements and sets, and retrieve, analyze, and interpret clinical data in a manner that supports efficient and effective DT&I decision-making, as well as design and development of iterative digital products.
Specifically, the DT&I Consulting Clinical Analyst will support the product owners in the design, validation, and testing of information work streams in order to support clinically-led design of transformative and innovate products. Additionally, this role must work across multiple domains regarding the design and development of informatics and system-level solutions.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing or other clinically relevant experience - Required
  • Master Degree in Nursing or other clinically relevant field - Preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of demonstrated experience and expertise in the domain area – Required
  • Payer/governmental guidelines including InterQual and Milliman Care Guidelines experience and expertise – Preferred
  • Must be able to work effectively alongside operational staff, leadership at multiple levels of the organization, as well as Subject Matter Advisors and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Previous hospital-based experience - Preferred

OTHER KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities, and demonstrates strong time management skills to deliver high-quality work products/artifacts in a dynamic environment with critical deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills required to address clinical and systems-related challenges, gather and interpret clinical data, and prepare a concise synthesis of both data and observations
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data, as well as identify innovative solutions to complex and challenging clinical problems
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to participate in multiple projects or activities simultaneously
  • Ability to assist with obtaining clinician feedback related to projects or discovery work
  • Ability to identify data elements that are sourced from the electronic health records
  • Knowledge of clinician documentation and ordering in Meditech 5.6/Meditech Expanse across different service lines
  • Documentation of work in Microsoft applications: Azure Dev Ops, Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc

Responsibilities
  • Adheres to DT&I standard operating procedures
  • Continuously collaborates and iterates with DT&I Data Science and Information Technology Group, as well as multiple key partners to source and validate data
  • Continuously collaborates and iterates with DT&I Process Engineering, Innovation Site subject matter experts, and Strategy, as well as multiple key partners to serve as a clinical subject matter expert
  • Source data elements for projects or coordinate with Corporate or Division teams to obtain needed information
  • Review data elements that are sourced
  • Assist with validation efforts in proof of concept or pilot projects specifically around medical necessity and physician documentation
  • Participate in product design when interoperability is needed
  • Obtain feedback during proof of concept and pilots from clinical teams
  • Ensure vendor priorities align with clinical needs and that development efforts are focused on features that provide measurable value
  • Facilitate feedback loops and maintain clear documentation to support transparency and accountability
