Description
Leidos is seeking an Electric Utility New Customers Business Professional to join our diverse and fast-paced organization. As a core team member, you will be interacting with existing and new customers, discussing and proposing OH and UG designs, which will include upgrading existing services or connecting new ones to the utility grid. Additionally, you can expect to perform field visits and inspections, communicating engineering design work and calculations with our internal team to enter them into the client systems. You will provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards (NESC) have been met, as well as conduct root cause analysis if any changes are made.

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of eight (8)+ years of experience with electrical construction experience, or with an electric utility or design consultant with design experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with and understanding of electric utility design standards and requirements
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing setting
  • Strong Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments, as some field conditions may vary
  • This role requires a valid US driver’s license as local and regional travel is required
  • Experience leading commercial design-build projects preferred
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Review client-provided scopes and assess requirements to achieve goal.
  • Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met (NESC).
  • Conduct engineering root cause analysis if any changes are made.
  • Travel to sites as needed, perform inspections and communicate required designs to the internal team to enter it into the systems.
