Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Consulting Signal Processing Engineer to join our NorCal team at Cyber & Information Solutions (C&IS) Business Unit.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in McClellan, CA
In this position you will research, design, develop and verify signal collection systems, and define and develop processing and dissemination computer algorithms. You’ll develop requirements analysis, system architecture, and integrate new signal processing technology systems. You’ll design, develop and analyze systems for the extraction of information from signal sensors. Systems utilization includes detection and estimation theories, speech processing, and neural networks; electromagnetic and acoustic effects on signals, and/or implantation of signal processing with advanced computer architectures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CONSULTING SIGNAL PROCESSING ENGINEER:

  • 16+ years of Engineering experience with a Bachelors in Science in a STEM discipline; 14+ years of Engineering experience with Masters; 12 Years with a PhD
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Background in signal processing
  • Experience working in Matlab and/or Python
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
    This position is contingent upon the successful transfer of an active DoD Top Secret Clearance and the ability to meet customer-specific security screening requirements within a timeframe set forth by management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience designing signal processing algorithms for advance computer architectures
  • Familiarity with C / C++
  • Familiarity with current AI/ML techniques Experience with performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation.
  • Experience with functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and integration definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
