Job Description Team Summary Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is Visa’s consulting division, serving Visa’s clients—including issuers, acquirers, and merchants—and solving strategic problems focused on improving performance and profitability. Drawing on expertise across strategy consulting, payments, data, and broader business disciplines, VCA delivers high‑impact, commercially meaningful outcomes for clients across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Consulting Manager to join our New Zealand Consulting team. In this role, you will lead client engagements across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands, supporting portfolio growth and improved profitability for clients’ banking and payments businesses. Visa’s consulting engagements span a broad range of topics, including payments strategy, portfolio profitability, customer value propositions, and product and experience design. As a Manager, you will play a key role in shaping problem statements, leading delivery, managing senior stakeholders, and developing high‑performing consulting teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead consulting workstreams end‑to‑end, from problem definition through to delivery of high‑quality, client‑ready outputs. Own client interactions, including planning and facilitating workshops, interviews, and senior stakeholder discussions. Translate complex analysis and insights into clear, actionable recommendations that address client objectives and drive measurable performance improvement. Shape and review compelling deliverables, ensuring strong storylines, clarity, and executive‑level communication. Develop project materials such as workshop content, interview guides, data requirements, and consulting frameworks. Coach and develop junior team members, providing day‑to‑day guidance while fostering supported autonomy and high standards of delivery. Contribute to practice development through IP creation, standardised offerings, and thought leadership. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. Qualifications Skills & Experience: Demonstrated experience with 5+ years in consulting, banking, financial services, or payments, with increasing responsibility for leading client work and teams. Strong capability across research, analysis, workshop facilitation, process improvement, solution evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and executive‑level deliverables. Proven analytical skills, including the ability to synthesise insights from multiple sources into clear, high‑quality outputs. Excellent collaboration and relationship‑building skills, working effectively with clients, subject‑matter experts, and geographically distributed teams. Solid program and project management capability, with comfort managing multiple workstreams in parallel. Strong digital productivity skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with modern collaboration and analysis tools (e.g. SharePoint, Teams, data visualisation or workflow tools) to deliver efficient, high‑quality consulting outputs.
