Consulting Networking Engineer | Hybrid (Saskatoon) | $90,000 - $100,000 + Bonus

The Role

They are seeking an experienced and adaptable Network Engineer to join their advanced network team. This role involves designing, deploying, troubleshooting, and supporting network solutions for various clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in environments requiring both technical expertise and strong communication skills, as they will work across diverse sectors with a wide variety of network technologies. The role demands flexibility and an ability to work outside a typical office setting, gaining exposure to different technologies while supporting critical client operations.


The Responsibilities

  • Consult and communicate with clients to find effective network solutions that suit their business and situation.  
  • Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless radios.
  • Diagnose network issues promptly and resolve them efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess wireless coverage and prepare coverage maps.
  • Travel occasionally to various locations within western Canada, including industrial environments and remote sites.
  • Handle physical setup of network equipment in data centers and outdoor or industrial settings, ensuring proper installation and configuration.
  • Conduct remote network setups and configurations in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Engage in ongoing training to remain current with emerging technologies such as Cisco, VMware, Dell, and Palo-Alto.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure network services meet their operational needs, particularly in critical industries such as mining, manufacturing, and telecommunications.
  • Maintain strict safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear when on-site.
  • Track time and deliver project updates accurately and on schedule.
