JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The primary purpose of the position is to define, implement and support development of proprietary HCA applications. Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to design and accelerate approved Coding For Caregivers projects. Supports business owners and peers related to application enhancements or system issues. Provides business knowledge and subject matter expertise on systems to the business owner and team members. Works with other key project team members to define requirements and how to support those requirements, design the functional solution, identify and resolve project issues, and ensure the solution meets both the requirements and the business need.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience

OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Nursing background preferred but NOT required.
  • Understanding of clinical nursing workflow strongly preferred.
  • Self-Starter who is willing to learn and lead. Documented examples appreciated.
  • Experience with Clinical Applications that facilitate patient care with the latest technology.
  • HL7 and FHIR understanding is preferred.
  • Clinical application support will be required at times, sometimes after-hours
  • High-level understanding of application development is required
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies is required
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of use case analysis and workflow design
  • Excellent conflict management and negotiation skills to consistently achieve “win-win” results
  • Passion and concern with improving the organization
  • Ability to work independently, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage workload prioritization to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction

Responsibilities:

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Creates deliverables independently and in conjunction with the business area.
  • Ability to act in a team-lead capacity in leading Mid-level and Senior-level Product Analysts in planning activities and strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to draft and present succinct, high-level presentations to multiple Executive audiences.
  • Ability to multi-task, given various assignments, assisting management in prioritization of tasks. This includes working on multiple projects at a time with different specialties and business owners. This also includes working with projects at different phases – implementation, vendor analysis, support, etc.
  • Take ownership of responsibilities, working individually or with teams to accomplish goals. In some cases, the analyst will need to act as a PM, BA, tester, etc.
  • Works with customers to ensure project dates are met and ensures timely completion of deliverables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Function as the Product SME of assigned applications within Clinical Development & Innovation. Work with the Business owner and peers to design and develop systems, ensure that the integration between clinical applications and our various EMR’s function properly, and resolve issues as necessary. May be asked to work with a multitude of business owners to rollout new solutions to all HCA facilities as well as within selected pilot locations.
Responsible for maintaining documentation for projects and ensures the information can be easily located and referenced by the organization. This may include Requirements, ISAM and other documentation development. This also includes supporting the applications.
Work on use cases, review testing scenarios. Assist with testing, problem determination and identifying proper resolutions with current and future development of Clinical Applications owned by the Clinical Development & Innovation team.
