ABOUT THE PROJECT:

A significant expansion and redevelopment of Maxville Manor, an existing long-term care facility in Maxville, Ontario, is set to commence in Summer 2025. This multi-year, $60 million project aims to enlarge and completely modernize the facility while ensuring uninterrupted current operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in institutional construction project management, preferably in healthcare or long-term care facilities.
  • Proven track record as an Owner’s Representative or in a similar consultancy role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work part-time with flexibility to accommodate project demands.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a seasoned Consulting Project Manager to act as the Owner’s primary representative throughout the construction phase. This role involves close collaboration with the facility’s operations team, design consultants, and the Construction Manager/General Contractor to ensure the project’s successful delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the Owner’s liaison, ensuring project alignment with operational needs and objectives.
  • Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and facility staff.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Manage documentation, reporting, and approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
