JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced Consulting Support Specialist 3 to join our Middleware Services team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in IBM MQ on Mainframe z/OS (Z16), with additional knowledge in Distributed IBM MQ, ACE (IIB), and CP4I Cloud Pak on OpenShift. This role involves administering, troubleshooting, and modernizing middleware environments within an enterprise infrastructure.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Expertise in IBM MQ on Mainframe z/OS 2.5 (Z16).
  • Strong understanding of AIX, Linux (RHEL), and VMware.
  • Experience with CP4I Cloud Pak on OpenShift platforms.
  • Proficiency in WebSphere MQ client configurations and ACE (IIB/Broker).
Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate in MQ middleware initiatives and projects across enterprise environments.
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain IBM MQ on Mainframe z/OS, ACE (IIB), and CP4I on OpenShift.
  • Assist in ITS modernization and integration efforts across different enterprise teams.
  • Document best practices, training materials, and provide mentorship to internal staff.
  • Integrate middleware MQ with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Zabbix, and Dynatrace.
  • Provide on-call support, including incident resolution, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem ticket resolution.
