Description Job Summary Overview The position is responsible for representing Consumer Lending as the credit union point of contact for all consumer and equity loan maintenance, vehicle title, and insurance. Essential Job Functions Responsible for equity and consumer loan maintenance within Symitar per member, Risk, or Compliance request. This requires extreme attention to detail to ensure loan records and member records are modified accurately. Responsible for assisting in research requests around loan maintenance and vehicle titles within organizational and vendor systems. This also requires the ability to problem solve and make recommendations based on research findings. Analyzes, researches, and resolves escalated issues. Ensures clarity and direction and exhibits the necessary follow-through with members and/or staff involved. Acts as support for Compliance and Consumer Lending Operations when system clean up and validation is required to ensure consumer and equity loans remain compliant within Symitar. Handles total loss, GAP and Debt Cancellation claims and is responsible for working directly with Insurance companies, vendors, and the member. This includes collection of documents, researching loan history, and ensuring all time frames are met to eliminate CU and member risk. Ensures timely submissions of all possible claims submitted with Lenders Protection and Allied Solutions to minimize deficiency losses for the credit union through the accurate and efficient claim handling. Performs administration of premiums, refunds, and insurance product billing for Allied Solutions, Minnesota life, Arizona Group, and Assurance plus. Performs Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable functions through the debiting and/or crediting of accounts. Manages billing issues with vendors and accounting as they arise. This includes ensuring vendors are properly charging for each of our services during monthly reconciliation. Ensures successful vehicle lien perfection for consumer and commercial loans that use vehicles as collateral. This includes working directly with the commercial team to collect, process and perfect titling for commercial loans. Will work directly with AZ MVD and Authorized Third Parties to determine ongoing member and lien perfection impacts and risks. Will report any trends that may cause risk during loan processing in lien perfection to Consumer Lending Servicing leaders. Must meet AZ MVD and AZFCU compliance and regulatory requirements around vehicle lien placement and titling. Accounts for CU and member risk when receiving requests around system maintenance exceptions, vehicle titling exceptions, and system issues. Must demonstrate the ability to problem solve complex and one-off situations as they arise when working with internal teams or members directly. Considered consumer loan (SME) within Symitar and works closely with Consumer Lending Operations in PowerOn and Symitar testing, maintenance, and process improvements with a focus on continued enhancements and accuracy. Reviews and recommends solutions for department and credit union wide processes by identifying obstacles within current procedures to enhance the member and employee experience. Ensures individual and credit union adherence to policies and standard business practices. Maintains professional standards and adheres to Arizona Financials’ values. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Education and Experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and three (3) years’ experience in financial institution. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of computers. Ability to type 45 words per minute. Ability to read, write and speak in English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, financial reports, legal documents, and government regulations. Ability to write procedure manuals. Ability to write business correspondence in response to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to use system resources from multiple departments to answer questions and resolve problems. Ability to speak effectively to members and internal customers regarding complex inquiries or complaints and communicate verbally both in person and on the telephone. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Licenses, Training, and Certifications Required None. Preferred Qualifications Three (3) year of experience with Consumer Loans. Hybrid Work Environment and Physical Demands Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance; use hands to finger keys accurately when using calculator machines or computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
