CONSUMER FOOD SCIENCE /PSYCHOLOGY TEACHER

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Pinckney Community Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Consumer Food Science/Psychology Teacher. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a rigorous, engaging, and student-centered classroom environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence and the personal growth of each student.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Consumer Food Sciences/Psychology. Secondary Certification.
  • Strong instructional, classroom management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in integrating educational technology and online learning tools into classroom instruction.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for students with diverse learning needs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous teaching experience at the Middle School level.
  • Experience in data-driven instruction and formative assessment practices.
