As an individual contributor reporting to the Sr. Director of NA Insights and Analytics, you will lead custom research and generate new insights in collaboration with the NA Marketing Services team. Responsibilities include end-to-end research - Qualitative and Quantitative Research project management, data analysis, developing presentations, sharing insights, and utilizing internal analysis and visualization tools. This position is based at Visa’s headquarters in Foster City, California.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Prior market research and insights experience, including qualitative and quantitative research is required
Masters in Consumer Behavior, Psychology, Marketing, Market Research, Sociology, Anthropology, Statistics or in a quantitative field like Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Engineering is preferred. MMR a plus
Over 3 years experience managing primary quantitative and qualitative market research, at a large global organization or a leading, globally respected market research agency.
Foundational understanding of branding, advertising, marketing concepts and strategy a plus
Background in payments, financial institutions or consumer lending as well as experience from tech, consulting, CPG, retail are a plus but not required
Ability to transition easily from a technical research perspective to practical business considerations
Demonstrated mastery in uncovering insights with the ability to inspire and influence others to act on insights. Demonstrated success in using research to drive insights and strategic implications that lead to business decisions
Strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, a proactive approach, Excel and PowerPoint power user, strong planner and problem solver. Must display strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate analyses into easily digestible stories for senior management consumption. Must be fluent in English
