Role reports to: Director, Head of Strategy Pacific Location: Asia Pacific, Australia, New South Wales, Sydney Work Location: Hybrid What you will do This role is responsible for driving the integration of deep consumer and business insights to influence commercial strategy and plans to drive industry-leading growth for the ANZ region. This leader will facilitate proof point driven decisions in the consumer, shopper and professional domains using data, insights and analytics tools. You will be expected to collaborate closely with the commercial teams and agency partners, to uncover local insights to deliver connected consumer journeys, support planning cycles & measurements to drive category and brand growth. This requires a robust subject matter expert who has collaborated cross-functionally and with external partners to create a significant shift in organizational capability to unlock data into insights. Consumer Insights & Learning‑Led Business Strategy (30%) Lead the business unit consumer and shopper learning agenda to ensure business, category, and portfolio decisions are grounded in deep human understanding and evidence‑based insight. Translate consumer, shopper, and category insights into clear recommendations that inform commercial strategy, portfolio prioritization, and growth opportunity identification. This could include but not limited to deploying executional excellence guidelines Integrate insights from consumer research, performance data, macro trends, and competitive intelligence to diagnose business performance and support penetration‑led growth strategies and planning cycles. Act as a strategic thought partner to Marketing, Category, and Business Unit leadership by providing proof‑pointed perspectives on business potential, strategic trade‑offs, and success drivers. Advanced Analytics, Measurement & Business Intelligence (40%) Lead the strategy, governance, and optimization of syndicated data assets (e.g. point of sale data) and external data partnerships, ensuring it is fit‑for‑purpose, integrated, and actively leveraged to enable actionable insights and decision‑making at speed. Lead the selection, governance, and performance management of data, analytics, and insights agency partners, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment to business priorities. Own business intelligence and performance diagnostics to provide timely visibility into brand, category, and portfolio performance. Establish holistic metrics of success and robust measurement frameworks that drive effective commercial investment including ROI optimisation, and continuous performance improvement. Commercial Partnership & Capability Building (30%) Partner with Global and Regional Consumer & Business Insights teams on global category initiatives, providing local market input and translating global insights into actionable ANZ implications. Lead cross‑functional collaboration with marketing, sales, category teams, and external agencies to manage multiple priorities, deliver project outcomes and maximise business impact and solutions Act as a trusted business partner who influences decision‑making through strong insight storytelling, commercial acumen, and stakeholder engagement. Build data literacy, insight capability, and embed a consumer closeness across the organization to support decision quality, speed, and effectiveness. What We Are Looking For Qualifications A Bachelor's degree is required preferably in Statistics, Market Research or Social Sciences. Must have significant experience in advanced analytics tools (Marketing mix, pricing and promo analytics, syndicated data sufficiency analysis among others) Technical market research experience and conversant in a range of quantitative and qualitative research Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners to impact decision-making; and “have an informed opinion” backed up by insight Strong communication and visualization skills; Ability to think analytically to understand complex or ambiguous problems or issues and communicate solutions/conclusions clearly and concisely Proven success in developing strategic agency/client partnerships to build long term impact and business requirements Strong commercial acumen Must be capable of creating one’s own agenda and deliverables given knowledge and understanding of consumer businesses 3+ years of progressed experience in Insights, preferably in a consumer marketing or manufacturing or market research company What’s In It For You Competitive Benefit Package Paid Company Holidays, Paid Vacation, Volunteer Time, Summer Fridays & More!
