Responsibilities

The Consumer Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping maternity and newborn improvement projects by providing strategic consumer insights and expert guidance in the design, delivery and implementation of improvement initiatives

The role is critical to internal and external operations as explored below;

  • Internally, the Consumer Lead collaborates closely with key stakeholders, including the CEO, Senior Maternity Advisor, Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer, and the Partnering with Consumers Team, alongside the Safer Together Program leads.
  • Externally, the Consumer Lead fosters strong connections with Victorian health services maternity improvement project teams, consumers, health service executives, peak bodies, and quality and safety leaders to drive meaningful and sustainable improvements.
