Overview Reports to: Consumer Lending Title Manager Functions Supervised: Consumer Lending Title Specialists & Consumer Lending Title Support Specialists Primary Functions: Supervise Consumer Lending Title Specialists, Consumer Lending Title Support Specialists, and assigned departmental functions to ensure the accurate and timely recordation of the credit union's lien on titles, releasing of liens and to provide superior member service. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the selection, development, and performance of direct reports to retain a motivated and professional team. Participate in training others as directed. Supervise assigned personnel and direct the daily operations of the title specialists, including but not limited to; (1) use of VINtek reports to effectively monitor all accounts pending title, (2) ensure the credit union's lien is recorded in a timely manner, according to law, and on the correct security instrument (3) verify the proper security instrument is used to perfect the credit unions security interest (4) follow up is consistent and documented in VINtek, and (5) keep management informed of adverse situations, or negative trends. Supervise assigned personnel and direct the daily operations of the title support specialists, including but not limited to the regular review of title reports to monitor processes and ensure the credit union's security interest is released accurately and in a timely manner. Oversee the work assigned to individual staff members to ensure prioritizations are managed effectively and meet operational objectives. Take all actions necessary to prevent fraud, recover a loss and mitigate risk to the credit union as it relates to titles. This includes working with investigators, other areas of the credit union and requesting DMV records or filing complaints with the appropriate agencies. Ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to titling processes and related credit union activities. Provide prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable and courteous member service. Act as a liaison and work collaboratively with others and across geographic locations to coordinate, recommend and initiate changes or strategies to achieve organizational goals and enhance the quality and efficiency of Consumer Loan Administration. Protect member confidential information and ensure lien documents, files, members information and credit union checks are properly secured. Responsible for the development and maintenance of procedures and on the job training materials. Complete personnel related tasks in a timely manner. This includes but is not limited to performance evaluations and the review and approval of timesheets. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable Experience/Skills: Two years supervisory experience with an emphasis in consumer lending and direct customer contact. Aptitude for problem solving with the ability to analyze situations, evaluate alternatives and make independent decisions regarding resolution. Must be self-motivated and resourceful and possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong personality traits to handle complex and adverse situations. Tenure: Not Applicable Compensation Consumer Lending Title Supervisor (Category 09) Salary Pay Range: $69,557 - $112,677 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
