POSITION

As MAL continues its rapid growth, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Underwriter to help us deliver outstanding service to our customers.
This isn’t a traditional underwriting role. At MAL, we work collaboratively in an agile way. You’ll have the opportunity to make decisions that directly impact customer outcomes and help shape the future of our business.

• Assess loan applications using MAL’s lending policies, focusing on creditworthiness and affordability.
• Make informed approval or decline decisions based on a mix of data, insight, and responsible lending practices.
• Communicate with applicants clearly and promotly throughout the application journey.
• Request and analyse additional customer information when needed.
• Collaborate with teams across the business to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Contribute to projects that enhance our systems, processes, and service delivery.
