We know that working together is the only way we can achieve what is necessary for a healthier future.   About the role   Are you a someone who has used adult public mental health services?       Are you passionate about people who have a lived experience of mental-ill health having a voice and receiving the best possible supports?       An exciting opportunity now exists for Consumer Peer Support Worker to take up a role within Eastern Health’s Adolescent Inpatient Unit    The Consumer Peer Support Worker shall work collaboratively with other staff and management of the Eastern Health Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health focussed service, to ensure the best possible support and participation opportunities for consumers of the mental health and wellbeing program. This role requires independent and autonomous work practices.      About you    To be successful in this role you will possess: Lived experience as someone who has accessed a youth public mental health service  Demonstrated ability to work systemically with internal and external services and staff to benefit carers and families.   A strong commitment to high quality care   The ability to work as part of a diverse team   Excellent communication and organisational skills     Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
