We are currently seeking motivated candidates for a Full Time Contact Center Representative - Lending position at our Corporate Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. Position Purpose:  Interact with members and process member requests and transactions. Process loan requests for members and work with centralized underwriting for a decision. Research and resolve member problems. Offer Credit Union products or services whenever appropriate.  Job Duties (include but not limited to):  * Interact with members via phone, e-mail and other media as appropriate. * Answer member questions concerning their accounts and Credit Union services. * Open new accounts, when appropriate. * Perform file maintenance on members’ accounts as necessary. * Sell products and services where appropriate. * Accept and process loan applications. * Submit loan requests to Centralized Underwriting for decisioning. * Gather information related to credit and debit card disputes. * Process specialty lending, such as home equities and credit cards. * Promote the sale of Credit Union sponsored insurance products. * Provide members with information necessary to make informed decisions regarding their financial transactions. * Process termination statements and lien releases. * Process and verify EFT authorizations and insurance documents. * Complete various other tasks such as faxing of documents, writing letters and delivery of paperwork to various departments within the Credit Union. * Perform other duties as assigned by management.  Qualifications:  * High school graduate or equivalent; Associates's Degree preferred  * 2 years financial institution experience, preferred.  Skills/Abilities:  * Strong typing abilities.  * Good verbal public relations skills.  * Communicate verbally and in writing.  * Able to operate calculator, word processor, and related computer applications.  * Well organized.  * Strong commitment to cross selling and over coming objections when cross selling applicable products and services.  * Maintain confidentiality of member data.   Benefits:  * Vacation and Paid Time Off * Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, & Short Term/Long Term Disability Available  * Paid Tuition to $5000 per year  * Bereavement Pay  * Holiday pay at 8 hours per observed holiday  * Free Financial Planning Assistance  * 401k up to 3% match and 5% Profit Share EOE M/F/Disability/Veteran
Responsibilities
