Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you will be responsible for combining financial and fiscal accounting responsibilities. Focus on ensuring compliance with local accounting regulations and international financial reporting standards (IFRS), including the preparation and presentation of statutory financial statements, supervision of external audits, and coordination with internal and external teams to ensure the accuracy of financial records. In addition, you will assume functions typical of a Tax Accountant, such as tax calculation and declaration, management of tax obligations, and collaboration with tax authorities to ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
“This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Requires five-year bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution, or related studies, and at least five years of experience in taxation, finance, accounting or external audit.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Experience in auditing processes before SUNAT.
- Knowledge of accounting and legal processes in Peru.
- Knowledge of the tax aspects for Peru.
- Knowledge of the aspects related to Transfer Pricing.
- Microsoft Office application; Oracle Financials or similar ERP.
- Intermediate-high level of English, both oral and written (desirable).
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Able to interact effectively at various levels of an organization.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly and annual business tax returns, along with the reports required by the government, such as Transfer Pricing, BCRP, INEI, and SENCICO, among others.
- Completing all assigned account reconciliations on a monthly basis, resolving outstanding items within the period.
- Reviewing registration documents and reports for accuracy and compliance with corporate, contractual, government and professional accounting standards.
- Reconciling financial reports with existing records, identifying and resolving inconsistencies or errors.
- Submitting the Electronic Books to the SUNAT, both monthly and annually, ensuring the updates according to the latest requirements of the Tax Administration, including development, testing and implementation.
- Monitoring the Electronic Billing Portal, including its monitoring, updates and maintenance.
- Managing the Corporate Credit Card Program, managing the issuance with the bank, the incorporation of new users and the activation in CONCUR.
- Controlling and analyzing Fixed Assets, Financial Leases (IFRS 16) and Intangibles both locally and corporately, preparing the corresponding electronic books for the SUNAT.
- Preparing corporate reports (CP 63.01) detailing the estimated determination of Income Tax as requested by the Global Tax Department.
- Providing comprehensive support for internal and external audits, ensuring strict compliance with company policies and procedures. Actively supporting tax audits, quickly responding to requests from tax authorities and providing the necessary documentation.
