Employment Opportunity Sheridan Nurseries Glen Williams Farm is actively searching for: General Labour Seasonal, Full Time Position Summary: These full time seasonal positions are at our Glen Williams Container farm in Georgetown, Ontario, and provide a great opportunity to learn about plants by working with them first-hand! These positions involve repetitive work which may include pruning, potting, watering, and plant maintenance. . Must be able to work in a fast paced and physically demanding environment often outside in inclement weather conditions. Will require evening and weekend work, depending on seasonal weather patterns. Your Accountabilities: Communicate effectively for job requirements and safety Meet daily targets for quality and productivity Planting and Potting; Crop Maintenance – Clipping, Pruning, Staking, Harvesting Promote a safe and healthy working environment Able to join other work crews as priorities require at the direction of Management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Work well with others in a team environment Must be in good physical condition and enjoy work in outdoor conditions Requires your own transportation arrangements to the Nursery No education and no experience required This job requires extended periods of walking and standing, as well as the ability to lift up to 50lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
