CONTAINER INSPECTOR

at  DP World

• Inspect all types of shipping containers as per the clients specified criteria (Port Inspections, IICL, MCIC, Cargo worthy, Wind and water tight etc)
• Generate estimates for all inbound containers supported by photo evidence.
• Grade the container as per the condition of the interior i.e. suitable to load food, general cargo, scrap condition etc
• Re-inspect containers in preparation to issue a CSC certification or to update the ACEP sticker.
• Carry out regular post repair inspections to ensure container repairs are carried out as per customer’s criteria. Ensure correct repair methods and materials are used.
• Train the trainees using IICL standards as a benchmark to understand inspections, estimation, and repairs
• Monitor the yard traffic flow and ensure entrances and exits are continuously flowing
• Supporting the Supervisors to run the workshop and wash bay operations
• Ensure high quality standards are maintained.
• Perform other duties outlined by your line manager
• Always follow and work to DP World’s policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
