Welder Container A welder container is tasked with the repair and the maintenance of containers. Their duties include welding and fabrication of steel and aluminum components, using welding equipment such as brakes, shears, plasma cutters, and torches. A container shop welder may also perform safety checks, and preventive maintenance. Responsibilities include: Wire Feed and some ARC welding Metal container repair and fabrication Keeping container storage yard organized and clean Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Capable of performing repairs in an efficient, effective and timely manner. Must be able to read, interpret, measure and document in writing. Sufficient strength for handling large parts and tools. Be able to bend, crouch, kneel, stoop and work. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience using a forklift. Valid driver's license for use of company vehicle from time to time. Occasionally work outdoors in all weather conditions.
