Description POSITION SUMMARY Working in a laboratory/manufacturing setting, this position involves the collection, analysis, and interpretation of samples to detect potential contaminants affecting product quality. The role also involves conducting contamination testing and trials, documenting and communicating test results, and notifying relevant organizational levels of any out-of-specification findings. Additionally, the incumbent will deliver training to new and existing quality personnel on contamination testing procedures, equipment handling, and the documentation and reporting of test results, while also offering constructive feedback. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Carries out contamination testing on both sites, as required. · Collects samples from various stages of the production process, raw materials, and finished products for contamination testing. · Prepares samples for analysis, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures. · Analyzes test results, interprets findings, and documents observations. · Prepares detailed reports summarizing test outcomes, including the identification of contaminants, their concentrations, and any deviations from established quality standards. · Collaborates with quality assurance and production teams to implement corrective actions based on contamination test results. · Participates in the development and improvement of contamination testing protocols and procedures. · Ensures that all testing activities adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and quality management systems. · Works closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, engineering, and maintenance to address contamination-related issues. · Communicates effectively with colleagues and management regarding testing processes, results, and any necessary corrective actions. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES · Update and maintain corresponding documentation for the area. · Provide training and feedback to quality department personnel as required. · Support in engineering trials. · Conduct, communicate, monitor and document results of projects. · Create reports, presentations, etc. of information gathered from the Contamination testing. · Report and escalate any out of control values to production team. · Monitor key equipment process parameters. · Notify and carry out communication of findings to different levels of the organization. · Assist in the analysis of root causes. · Accurately document and report measurement results. · Perform process audits. · Help maintain minimum inventories of spare part for the Microscope/JOMESA. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED · 3 years or more in Quality department preferred. · Experience with Microsoft Office. · Team player, dedicated to overall company performance with the ability to get along with others. · Self-motivated with enthusiasm and drive; able to work independently as needed. · Ability to work various shifts if needed, to support a 24/7 operation. · Reliable attendance on-site required. · Adaptability and quick response to new scopes and project variations. · Oral communication skills are needed for training, instructing, transferring technical information. Good written skills for ISO procedures. · ISO 9001 experience preferred. · Microscope/JOMESA handling experience preferred. Requirements PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS · Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, lift and crouch very frequently · Ability to reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, use tools and equipment, manipulate, handle or feel small parts for inspection · Must have steady hands, close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus is required. · Employee will be in a manufacturing environment with a moderate to high noise level, experiencing vibration on a regular basis. · Regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. · Must have the ability to lift one box of parts weighing 35 lbs. · Must have the ability to reach to use tools and equipment, to manipulate and feel small parts for inspection, to inspect small parts visually, and through use of magnifying equipment and to perceive depth to set up equipment.
