· You’re constantly practicing new filming techniques
· You’re able to smartly utilize trends to your advantage, you stay on top of video trends and know what type of content is going viral (voiceovers, GRWM, memes, transitions, timing, effects etc.)
· You’re able to write engaging captions while also ensuring the information is 100% accurate and all details are accounted for
· You’re able to research detailed information and produce content with no errors (e.g. dates, times, locations)
· You’re able to make a judgement on what valuable info should be included within a list or experience video
· You’re able to proofread your own work and are extremely vigilant about accuracy (e.g. typos on videos, incorrect dates, wrong tags in captions)
· You’re well-informed regarding Calgary’s upcoming big events and have a keen understanding of what’s happening in the city
· You’re able to spot interesting potentially viral content that others may overlook
· You’re able to generate ideas for new content and how to make it even more valuable for our audience
· You’re able to evaluate the success of your work by closely monitoring Instagram metrics
· You’re able to reliably and consistently meet weekly production deadlines

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

· expand YYC Sociables social media audience
· produce sponsored content as work comes in

MAIN TASKS:

· Create organic content with the goal of expanding our audience (i.e. followers and reach of @yyc.sociables)
· Create sponsored content with the goal of satisfactory results for clients (i.e. views/sales)

YOU WOULD HATE THIS ROLE IF YOU’RE SOMEONE WHO:

Job Type: Freelance
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
