Description

ABOUT SWAMPFOX OPTICS

Swampfox Optics is a rapidly expanding manufacturer of firearm optics for home defense, recreational, long-range, and professional applications. We’re looking for a charismatic on-camera host who can also shoot, edit, and shape brand-aligned stories for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit, and LinkedIn. You’ll join a collaborative in-house marketing team alongside a Digital Marketing Specialist, a 3D/CGI Artist, and our Content Coordinator

WHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS)

  • On-camera strength: Confident, clear communicator with a natural presence and ability to take direction and self-direct.
  • Firearms expertise & safety: Hands-on experience with firearms and proven comfort around live fire; impeccable safety habits are non-negotiable.
  • Production chops: Proficiency in Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve, with efficient keyboard-driven workflows.
  • Story + strategy: Demonstrated ability to craft narratives that support brand and campaign goals (hooks, CTAs, and platform-specific best practices).
  • Platform fluency: Experience tailoring content to YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Self-sufficiency: Ability to balance multiple projects, hit deadlines, and recognize diminishing returns. Keeping lines of communication clear with the team regarding workload and expectations.
  • Experience level: 2–5 years in content creation, videography, or related on-camera creative roles (or equivalent body of work).
Responsibilities
  • Be the face of our content. Host on-camera videos (product showcases, how-tos, explainers, event coverage, short-form/social content, and occasional live content).
  • Plan and produce. Collaborate with the content coordinator on a content calendar; ideate topics, outlines, hooks, and titles/thumbnails that drive clicks and watch time.
  • Shoot and set up. Independently set up/framing, basic lighting/audio as needed for quick shoots; collaborate with our content coordinator on larger projects.
  • Edit with intent. Cut short- and long-form content in Premiere Pro/ Davinci Resolve
  • Tell brand-aligned stories. Transform briefs into strategic, on-brand narratives that educate, entertain, and convert—not just “content,” but marketing assets.
  • Maintain consistency. Ensure all deliverables match brand voice, style, and aesthetic across platforms.
  • Repurpose and archive. Organize, clip, and tag footage for reuse across channels and campaigns.
  • Show up for the industry. Attend select shoots and events throughout the year; facilitate content with external creators/SMEs.
