Description
Content Creator / Social Media Manager — Texas Sports Academy About Us Texas Sports Academy is one of the fastest-rising education brands in the country, building the next generation of schools for student-athletes: 2 hours of AI-powered, personalized academics each morning, followed by 3 hours of elite sports training before the traditional school day is over. Built on the Alpha School model — a nationally recognized network featured in Forbes, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal — Texas Sports Academy combines elite academics with world-class athletic development and is rapidly expanding across Texas with world-class coaches, including 6x NBA All-Star Jermaine O’Neal. The Role We're looking for a content creator who lives on-site at our schools 3-4 days a week, capturing raw, authentic moments and turning them into scroll-stopping short-form content. This isn't a desk job. You're at our schools, in the gym, in the classroom, on the field — phone in hand, catching the moments that make Texas Sports Academy special. You'll work alongside our YouTube videographer and editors, with your focus being short-form: Reels, TikTok, Shorts, and X. You'll own the day-to-day social media presence for Texas Sports Academy. What You'll Do Be on-site at TSA schools 3-4 days/week capturing content on your phone Produce 2+ short-form videos per week (Reels/TikTok/Shorts style — bold text overlays, raw, 7-30 seconds, works with sound off) Pull stills from video for Instagram posts Manage posting schedule across IG, TikTok, X, and YouTube Shorts Collaborate with our videographer (long-form YouTube) and editors Build relationships with students and coaches so the content feels natural, not staged Over time, take full ownership of creative direction for social media What We're Looking For You already make short-form content — show us your TikTok, Reels, or YouTube Shorts You think in hooks — you know what stops a scroll in the first 1-2 seconds You can shoot and rough-edit on your phone same-day (CapCut, InShot, or similar) You're comfortable in a school environment around kids and coaches You understand sports culture and energy and virality You're based in Texas (required — this is an on-site role across our Texas schools) Bonus: you played sports, coached, or have a background in youth athletics Based in Dallas (preferred), Texas (required) This Role Is NOT A remote social media scheduling job A polished cinematic production role (we have a videographer for that) An agency gig — you're embedded in our schools, part of the team Compensation $100k+, based on experience To Apply Send us: Your social media handles Any examples of short-form content you've created
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for capturing raw, authentic short-form video content on-site at Texas Sports Academy schools 3-4 days per week.
