Trebuchet MS with Updated Inkey Blue
At Guide Dogs, we are dedicated to empowering individuals with sight loss to live the life they choose. We are seeking a talented Content Editor to bring our work to life through exceptional copywriting, editing, and content creation, with a strong focus on case studies. In this role, you will craft and manage a diverse library of compelling case studies that showcase the impact of our services and celebrate the inspiring stories of our service users, volunteers, and staff.
As a Content Editor, you will collaborate across Guide Dogs to identify case study needs and priorities, identify new stories and establish a streamlined workflow for creating and uploading content that complies with GDPR standards. Your expertise will shine as you produce best-in-class, multi-purpose case studies that combine engaging narratives, striking photography, and video elements when appropriate.
You will ensure that all case study content is not only on-brand and of the highest quality but also accessible and aligned with our ‘digital first’ principle. By equipping teams with the tools to tell a ‘broader than dogs’ story, you will help elevate our brand and attract new supporters, service users, and volunteers.
In addition, you will serve as the gatekeeper for case study access, maintaining an organised process for updating and managing content usage. Working alongside our Creative Services team, you will contribute to the development of our media library and promote effective storage and sharing practices for our case studies.
Your role will also involve copyediting and proofreading materials, offering guidance on creating engaging and accessible content that adheres to our brand tone of voice. You will oversee photography and video shoots, crafting case study assets that inspire action and can be reused across multiple channels.
Managing relationships with external suppliers will be crucial to ensuring we achieve the best value for our investments. Additionally, you will collaborate with content editors on the web team to create on-brand content for our website, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone.
If you’re an excellent writer and are passionate about storytelling and want to make a meaningful difference through your writing and creativity, we invite you to join our team!
We value in-person collaboration with our teams and support hybrid working arrangements, so you have flexibility to work in a way that’s best for you offering a combination of homeworking and time spent working from our Reading office.
No two people with sight loss are the same, and none of our people are either. So, we are proud to offer a range of person-centred benefits that can support each member of staff in ways that really mean something to them – and show them how much they mean to us. We offer a flexible benefits package, discounts and cashback scheme, a generous holiday allowance and matched contributory pension scheme to care for our people.
