SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise: Exceptional skills in copywriting, graphic design (Adobe Suite, Canva), and event planning, with a keen ability to craft compelling narratives that align with BLOQS’ tone and mission.
  • AI Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AI content and scheduling tools (e.g., Canva AI, Jasper, Later, Sprout Social), with the ability to integrate AI insights into creative workflows.
  • Experience: 3+ years of marketing experience, preferably in design, architecture, manufacturing, or maker-focused industries, with a proven track record of creating engaging content and events.
  • Communication: Superb verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities to build relationships with media, influencers, and community stakeholders.
  • Mindset: Proactive, can-do attitude with a passion for creativity, sustainability, and community-building, coupled with strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to pivot strategies based on real-time feedback and audience insights.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

CONTENT & EVENTS MARKETING EXECUTIVE (FULL TIME)ROLE DETAILS

  • Position Type: Full-time, permanent role.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

  • Location: This is a on-site role, at BLOQS’ London headquarters, candidates must be based in or able to commute to London, UK.

  • Hours: 40 hours/week (5 days), with flexible scheduling to support event execution and content creation.
  • Leadership: Leads events, public relations (PR), and social media initiatives with autonomy, reporting to the Strategic Marketing Lead and receiving support from cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Focus: Maximises BLOQS’ visibility and community engagement through compelling content, strategic PR, and impactful events, driving brand awareness among makers, designers, and industry professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute a dynamic social media strategy across platforms (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook), creating and curating mission-aligned content that highlights BLOQS’ commitment to sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity.
  • PR Initiatives: Drive PR efforts by securing media coverage in design, architecture, and maker-focused outlets, building relationships with influencers and thought leaders to amplify BLOQS’ presence.
  • Event Planning & Promotion: Plan, coordinate, promote and host events tailored to makers and designers, creating search-optimised promotional materials (e.g., digital flyers, social posts) to drive attendance and engagement.
  • Content Development: Produce high-quality content, including promotional decks & slide commentary, videos, newsletters, and social media posts, emphasising BLOQS’ eco-conscious ethos and innovative workspace solutions.
  • Brand Consistency: Uphold BLOQS’ brand identity across all channels, ensuring an inclusive, eco-conscious, and innovative narrative that resonates with the creative community.
