QUALIFICATIONS

  • A recent graduate with a University degree with subject matter knowledge in one of the following:
  • Engineering
  • Geology
  • Indigenous Studies
  • Trades
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel) and/or GoogleDocs/sheets
  • Class G drivers licence
  • Ability to work fluently (verbal and written) in both official languages, French and English, is required.

The content lead will work with the Program Coordinator to develop, demonstrate and deliver lessons, presentations, and games that promote skills, programs and careers in the mineral resources industry.

  • Design, develop, and deliver lessons and activities.
  • Assist with MineOpportunity Game deliveries.
  • Assist with marketing and program publicity (social media, press releases…)
  • Oversee Anishinaabemowin lesson, ppt and infographic translations and create assets.
  • Coordinate and assist to deliver a fall Teacher Workshop(s).
  • Assist with additional funding opportunities for student outreach initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Electrifying the Future is a bilingual (English/French) program that aims to bring awareness to elementary and high school students about post-secondary training that lead to jobs and services across the mineral resources industry. The program consists of lesson plans, school & community visits, and a fun interactive game that aims to enlighten youth about the industry’s needs, associated post-secondary programs, and careers.
