The Content Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of enterprise content repository. This role ensures content accuracy, accessibility, compliance, and timely availability by executing defined content standards, governance processes, and workflows. Reporting to the Director, Content Management, the Content Manager plays a critical role in running scalable, compliant content operations that support marketing, product, and business teams. Primary Responsibilities: Manage daily operations of the enterprise content repository (DAM/CMS), ensuring assets are accurate, current, approved, and easily discoverable Execute content intake, version control, updates, and retirement processes in line with established governance and compliance standards Apply and maintain taxonomy, metadata, and naming conventions to enable effective search, reuse, and reporting Coordinate with marketing and product teams to ensure timely availability of approved content for campaigns, launches, and ongoing needs Support implementation and adoption of AI-enabled tools and automated workflows for tagging, templating, and content updates Monitor content usage, search performance, and operational metrics; identify issues and recommend process improvements Support compliance and governance activities, including audits, documentation, and enforcement of content standards Troubleshoot day-to-day platform and workflow issues in partnership with Technology and platform support teams Contribute to training, playbooks, and enablement materials to support user adoption of content systems Escalate risks, bottlenecks, and exceptions to the Director, Content Management with clear recommendations Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field 9+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience in content management, marketing operations, or a related discipline Hands-on experience with content management systems (CMS), digital asset management (DAM) platforms, and workflow tools Familiarity with AI-based content tools, automation, or metadata-driven systems preferred Proven solid organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proven to be effective communicator and collaborator across cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, Compliance, and Technology Core Skills & Competencies Content operations and workflow execution Metadata management and taxonomy adherence Compliance awareness in regulated environments Operational analytics and reporting Process discipline and continuous improvement mindset Collaboration and stakeholder support At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
